Eastbourne Airbourne 2011
11th to 14th August 2011Eastbourne Seafront
Eastbourne Airbourne is the annual air spectacular, proclaimed to be the biggest seafront airshow in the world. This action-packed event takes place over four days in August and draws over 500,000 visitors to the South coast.
Every year there is a bumper programme of fast jets, helicopters, freefall parachute teams, warbirds and historical aircraft. Eastbourne Airbourne also gives you the opportunity to see the world-famous Red Arrows display team - a crowd favourite.
With so much thrilling action in the skies at Airbourne, it is refreshing to know that there are also plenty of attractions on the ground to enjoy, with a wide variety of displays, children's entertainment, trade stands and caterers. If it all gets a bit too much for you, why not just sit on the beach and watch the events unfold whilst basking in the sunshine?
Displays at this year's event include the RAF Red Arrows, Battle of Britain Memorial Flight, F16, plus parachute display teams, wingwalkers, helicopters and aerobatic teams.
If all the daily action isn't enough, the entertainment continues through to the evenings too, with a full programme of events, including Big Band night and concerts at the Bandstand plus a spectacular firework finale on the Sunday night.
The History of Eastbourne Airbourne
Eastbourne Airbourne started in 1993, and was based around a long relationship with the Red Arrows display team.
