New Book Club Looking For Members

Hi I live in Bexhill and I'm starting a book club in the New Year. We will be obtaining our books through the local library, so there is no outlay involved in purchasing books for members to read. There are still a few places available. so if there is anyone interested in joining a small (maximum of 10 people) club please contact me with your details. The club will be registed by Christmas and books available for pick up before the holidays, with the first meet at the end of January. Thank you. Carol

Hi Jude, sorry for the delay. I have one more place available in the book club, so please contact me via my email address, if you are still interested. Our first meeting is on Friday 27th January at 7.00 p.m. and the first book is available from me. Which means memebers can start reading it over Christmas. It's called The Jane Austen Book Club, by Karen Fowler. I live very near the library.The book club is called Bexhill Bookworms and is registed at the library.

I would also be interested in joining the bookclub - it looks like there may not be room for any more though?
Is the club full up or is there room for one more?
I've been away from Bexhill for years and have just moved back, and miss my old bookclub!

Hi, im wondering if there is anyone out there who would be interested in starting a book club? im free most days so am quite flexible, and i like all different kinds of books. The reason i would like to start a bookclub is partly for making new friends in the area, as all of my friends live far away, and because im craving conversation!

I will check this regularly, we could take it in turns to meet at each others houses.

Yes, I'd be interested in joining a new book club - I think the one mentioned above by people seems to be full, and it seems there may be others who might like to join a new club too?
I used to belong to one before we moved down here and I miss it! (I'd also love to meet more people down here as we only moved back in October)

I'm looking to join or start a book club. I do not work, so a daytime group is what I'm aiming for. Love reading and looking for others who share interest. I'm not an intellectual, just an average reader.

Help, i picked up a leaflet from cavendish house in Hastings, which told me about a book club in Bexhill, which i was really interested in doing! I spoke to my friend about it, who is also interested, but now I can't find the leaflet anywhere!! If I'm remembering the details correctly, the club mentioned met on a wednesday morning, either in the library or a church, i really can't remember!!

Hi, Carol. Eons ago I was a pupil at Bexhill Down Technical School; a very square peg in a very round hole. I had no 'Technical' ability whatsoever! I could write a little, though.
I have now made two of my historical novels available as ebooks from Amazon Kindle. Until Christmas, they are on a special promotional price; each one being obtainable for not much more than a cup of Starbucks Latte.
