Board Games And War Gamers Thread

I moved from the North 6 months ago and I find that I am really missing the regular board games nights me and my friends used to have.

I haven't managed to meet many people in Bexhill, and I wonderd if there would be anyone (of a vaguely similar age - I'm 32) who would be interested in playing every now and again?

A few drinks and a board game is always good fun!

I moved to the area about a year ago and have been traveling to eastbourne to play with others but they are mainly wargamers. I'm 21 and looking for something closer to home.

Have you had any luck finding gamers?

No joy as of yet! My husband is a wargamer and plays over in Eastbourne, but for general board games i‘ve had no luck...

Hi I live in bexhill on sea & am looking for like minded war gamers to play regularly , I have an 8ft x 5 ft table set up, I play napolionic, ancients, war of the roses ' loads of others I have a big collection of various armies. I don't like fantasy or world war 2 .

hi stephanie i have just been looking on here for my boyfriend & saw ur husband does wargaming in eastbourne does he do fantasy or is he into historic games eg napolionic, my boyfriend lives in bexhill he has a 5ft by 8ft table he sets up,he doesnt play any fantasy games. perhaps you could ask ur hubby if he would be interested in a game thanks val

I understand there is a group called the 1066 wargaming group that recently started in the area. They have a Facebook page and a link with the Famous Collectables store on Western road. I've been meaning to check them out myself as I'm looking to get some D&D games going.

Hi come to 1066 we are the perfect match for you , lots of board gaming and loads of wargaming of all different types . We run on a Thursday night from 7-11 everybody is welcome , first night free ,, bars open and drinks are cheap .we usually have around 30 people most nights . Come along and have a look.

Hi, if your still looking for something to do on a Thursday night , 1066 is now in its third year . we have a large group of table top Wargamers ( 50+) and a good number of board gamers .plus 3 d&d groups running atm
So even if you pop over the once what have you got to lose, you may find that it's what's been missing

Hi All. I am a member of a roleplaying and wargaming club in Eastbourne called WARP. We meet on a Tuesday night from 7pm - 11pm at the RAAF club in Eastbourne. The first two nights are free, anf then £3.50 per night. We are currently running four Pathfinder games but we do play other systems like Cyberpunk, Star Wars etc. We are always looking for new players, and have plenty of room for people to start their own games. Come along and have a chat.
