Ghost Sightings

posted by steven Wanstalll on 10 Nov 2016 at 3:15 pm

Hi to all, I am very interested in the local area of bexhill and hastings, and am trying to find out about certain areas that may or may not be haunted. Is BUCKHOLT LANE Haunted? As I know many people who live down there, a couple have said it is. Does anyone know of any hauntings? Or sightings of ghosts in Buckholt lane. Please comment.

I realise the road you mention now. I have had one event nearby in which I was cycling early evening near the summer. Cliche as it sounds, it was during dusk. I came to a particular gate to find a girl just about to cross. I said hi as you would but she did not reply. i took it as nothing and lifted my bike over the gate and waited for the girl to get off the style. She asked me where a place was, cant recollect it now, and I said I did not know and crossed leaving her. A couple of days later I was out at a similar time on a route that eventually led me to crossing the same gate. The girl was there and in exactly the same fashion as before. I said somethings along the lines of fancy seeing you here. Again she did not reply so I put my bike over the gate and crossed myself not waiting for her to cross the style. She asked me the same question as before and this time I stopped and said that I still did not know. i turned and looked at her. normally nothing much scares me but the look she gave me gave me shivers. She just stood there and stared. I turned tail and ran, only looking behind me once. She couldn't have gone anywhere apart from diving into the hedge but I kid you not she wasn't there. The gate is near the old Crowhurst to Bexhill line. i have a few more if you are interested and I'm interested to hear your stories.

Thank you for replying back to me about hauntings, are there anywhere else in Bexhill that is haunted? Or has anyone seen anything ghostly? I've seen ghosts and felt uneasy in places around Bexhill, so if anyone has witnessed anything please add your comments below.

Ghost Sightings

In1984 at around 3am on Christmas morning, having walked home alone from Hastings after a night out, I had reached the junction of Holliers Hill and Chantry Avenue. At the top of the hill, by Bexhill Hospital, I noticed a dark figure coming towards me. The street was quite well lit but to be on the safe side I decided to cross the road and walk on the other pavement. As I watched the figure approaching I realised that it wasn't actually walking but floating slightly above the ground. And neither was the figure detailed by any distinguishing features; it was more like a mass of undefined blackness rather than an actual human being. As you can imagine, I stood still on the spot in fear of drawing attention to myself. When the figure reached the bottom of the hill, and we were directly opposite each other, it stopped and acknowledged my presence. I was terrified. But after a few moments, it turned to continue its journey and right before my eyes I witnessed it pass through the brick wall of the WWII air raid shelter situated on the corner of Holliers Hill and Chantry Avenue. I ran the rest of the way home!

Hi a friend that was reliable and feet on gowned type, told me. that she was cleaning a rest rant floor with her mop, in the late evening, when she felt as if she was being watched, looking around and then up the stairway she then noticed a young Woman in long dark dress at the top of the stairs. The woman turn to the right and disappeared down the upper landing. My friend Jane, bravely went up the stairs.no one there.
