Evacuation In WW2

My grandmother was evacuated with the Downs School (now King Offa) in 1939. I was wondering if anyone can tell me the date that the schools in the Bexhill Region were evacuated, as I am doing a school project on it.

My sisters in law were evacuated to Let Haworth and St. Albans from those schools. I will ask if they can remember

WWII School Evacuation

Google tells us that the Downs Infants' School was closed on 19 July 1940 and the children evacuated to Hertfordshire. I started at the school in 1950, aged five.
