I went to school there between 1970- 1975- I remeber Susan, Elaine and Denise. Do you remember Paulette, Jackie Martin, Bisi, Gillian, I can't remember the last names but have tons of pics of everyone including the school picture of everyone. Mrs. McGarry was headmistress.

Sent you a message in f/b - I started in the 70's and graduated in 75 - My first term there I was in the dorm with Gillian Ansel, Alma Esposito and Amanda Bridgen. I think we did take some classes together -maybe if you look at some of the pics in f/b you will remember. Jarsea and Kathleen have great memories more so then me.

Just been to a CTS reunion at Garry's place (yes, she is still alive - 102 next month and going strong) and Susanne Cook asked if anyone knew you and mentioned this site. I was at CTS during the above years and it would be lovely to hear from anyone who was at school at the same time and still alive!. Very bad on names, so really cant remember anybody till my memory is jogged! Was so interested to hear that Miss McGarry was 102 last year, thats amazing!

I was at CTS in the middle 50s......Ms McGarry directed a fabulous play "AIDA" Everybody in the school was in it.....I am looking for Rosie Karimjee, Mina Djafari, Lie Sim Lee from Malaysia, and can't remember more names.....it was so long ago but so very memorable, thanks to Ms McGarry and her cat....

Miss CTS, would have loved to have shown my kids (aged 1 and just 4), remember running through crush hall, link corridor, laundry room, dorms, etc- real nostalgia. Miss school facade. It was great to see the names of so many people I was at school with. I spoke to Sally Phipps a couple of times before she returned to the UK. (I live north of Auckland New Zealand) and it was so nice to make contact. Funny thing about getting older is that people still seem to sound the same even if visually things have possibly changed! I have 2 boys and have now been married for 36 years my god how time flies. Would love to hear how other peoples lives have turned out and where their paths have led them.

I happened to come across this site and was amazed to see Evry's name there. I believe her name was Everidiki (sp?) She had the bed next to me at CTS wayback when! I met her again on a flight from London to Rome. Did not recognize the beautiful elegant woman in the seat beside me! That too was years ago. I have lived in the US on and off since 1960. I hated Gary and the school, but spent years there until eventually my step mother decided I needed to go to work. So left without graduating. Now have a Masters though!

Hi Elaine, Good to see your post & like others I just stumbled across it. I remember you very well, going back to a term in Constable where our beds were next to one another.
The last time we met was when you came to my home in Battle we had recently had a 21st birthday & your dad had given you a car & mine had given me a horse. At the time you gave me the impression that you would have preferred a horse. It would be great to hear from you. I am on FaceBook & I am still with horses. x

Just wondering if there is anyone at CTS from 58-to mid 60's who can remember me? I was always the smallest in the class and frequently in trouble!!! I can remember 2 sisters susan (in higher class )and jane, vanessa (had a beautiful singing voice!! miss Parrott taught English and many more.

It is with great sadness to announce the death of Berta Williams on 24 May 2015.
Berta was at CTS from 1964 till 1971.
She was a true friend and will be sorely missed.

Stumbled across this site / page by accident, which brought back fond memories of my time at Charters. I joined my sister Angela Omerhi at CTS around 82 - 85. Reading through the conversation thread a see a few names I recall at the time. The Bird sisters and others running circles around Ms Bird in house 2, Nike, Reiko, Mariama and her sister Danke, Huda, Ms Reynolds and of course Ms Howe. I'm quite proud to say I attended a long established school, just unfortunate it no longer exists.

I remember teaching you. Seems like a long time ago, but I miss my time at CTS.
I went on teaching for a while, but then illness put a stop to it.
I've done a Masters degree in Philosophy and written a novel, which came out last month. It's called: From A Safe Distance.

Hello. I stumbled on this board because I was wondering what happened to Jumoke. I shared a dorm with her in the early 1970s. That is very sad. She was a lovely friend. I was friends with Janine, Sue, Sarah and Kate. I have fond memories of Bexhill.

Hello to all on this thread, saw Judy Davidson and Jo-Anne up there as I stumbled on this page. Lovely to know that I am still remembered.
I am actually going to be back in the UK after 40+ years on a work trip and was toying with the idea of visiting CTS. Also Andy Williams and
Met Jane Thornally Dundas recently in NZ and it was so lovely to catch up.
