Tree Of Hope Children's Charity
Based in Bexhill, the Tree of Hope Children's Charity offers hope to the families of Sick UK Children who need specialist medical surgery, treatment and therapy in order to free them from suffering and provide them with a better quality to their young lives.
It is often taken for granted that children who are born healthy and free from disability remain so. It is also often assumed that the NHS in the UK will always be able to cure sick people. Though they do try their best, treatments and therapies often prove too expensive and funding is not always available.
Occasionally, some children require specialist treatments and facilities that are not available in the UK but are available abroad. The Tree Of Hope helps to fund the treatments for these children.
Speaking after becoming a trustee, Alastair said:
I am delighted to become a trustee of this wonderful children's charity and look forward to offering my support towards the fantastic work being carried out to help treat and improve the lives of sick children in the UK.
