For Sunshine and HealthSummer Memory 1960. Clip 1The first part of this clip portrays Bexhill beach as a popular visitor attraction in the 1960s. The beach is packed with holiday makers. The film then switches to the De La Warr pavilion and explains why it is so popular with visitors.

Make a Splash!Summer Memory 1960. Clip 2This clip takes a look at Bexhill seaside. It states the reasons why people love to visit Bexhill - not crowded, health giving properties, no dangerous groynes or rocks. The scene then switches to people playing cricket on the sand and children splashing around in shallow rock pools.

Bexhill Carnival FunSummer Memory 1960. Clip 3This clip takes a look at Bexhill's Carnival. The carnival procession travels through the streets of Bexhill to the Polegrove where thousands of people gather to watch displays and demonstrations a plenty. The scene then switches to an amazing 60ft fire jump routine. Health and safety, anyone?

Egerton ParkSummer Memory 1960. Clip 4"Fun and enjoyment there certainly is!" This clip shows an afternoon of children's sports at Egerton Park. Children and parents take part in events. The scene then switches to the boating lake with children and adults having fun in their boats.
