St Bridget's, St John's Rd

I worked as Cook at St Bridgets Old Folk's Home during the late 70s/early 80s.
Was sad to see it's completely gone... does anyone have any memories/photos?
I remember cursing the 1954 Aga which took 5 hours to cook the potatoes!

My grandmother was in St Bridgets for quite some time in the late 1980s, I used to quite like it and itwas way less of a trek from Sidley than the next place which was Pine Hill at the Ridge above hastings

Thank you, Paddy! Yes that building was St Bridget's (the plot now contains new housing). It was sad to see the building all boarded up in the pic.

Does anyone remember the matron here in the late 1969's and 1970s I think surname was Laurie and had a son called Douglas laurie
