Poetry Reading

Does anyone know of a local Poetry Reading group. When I lived in Worthing there was quite a large one run by four English Literature and/or Drama teachers and we met once every two months. They chose most of the poems but twice a year we could submit our favourite poems to be read - by the organizers. Unfortunately, it had to close due to the demise and some of the readers but it would be really nice to find a local group that offered a similar format. I would not be interested in writing poetry OR reading poems myself.

Hello Maureen, did you find or form a group? I am fairly new to the area and interested! Please would you let me know....we could start one maybe?

After 20 years, and as most activity has moved to other platforms such as Facebook Groups, we have made the decision to close the message board. We are no longer accepting new posts.
All existing threads have been preserved in a read-only archive. In accordance with our obligations under UK GDPR, we will be removing all email addresses and personal contact information from our records within the next 30 days.
