Arrow FM telephoned me this morning to tell me all about the 'shop local' promotion that they are running throughout October. This gives local shops the opportunity to receive promotion of their business on Arrow during their segments promoting shopping in Bexhill.
Rother District Council is the overall sponsor and individual businesses can also have their own radio ad as part of the campaign. The cost is ?250 +vat.
Ordinarily I don't add commercial messages on to this website, but it is supported by our Council and I do believe in this cause.
So, even if you're not interested in this promotion, I would encourage you to shop locally as much as you can... otherwise we will end up just like America, with nothing but shopping malls everywhere.
