WW1 Presentation Tank

posted by Angie on 18 May 2010 at 10:00 pm

Hi, I'm carrrying out research for the Friends of the Lincoln Tank. After the end of WW1 Tanks were given to towns around the country in recognition of Savings raised. Bexhill was presented with one on 22/9/1919. It was called Muriel and a large crowd came to watch the presentation ceremony. This is all I know and I would love to hear from anyone who has any information or memories of it. Many thanks in anticipation.
