Hotels In Cooden Beach

Can anyone help? I am trying to locate The Gatehouse Hotel in Cooden Beach where my parents honeymooned 50 years ago. Does it still exist or has it been re named or is it long gone?

Hi Susie,
I had a look in Kelly's Directory for 1974 and the hotel was still there then. It was on the corner of Cooden Drive and Beaulieu Road. Since then, it has sadly been demolished and the land developed. The new estate is called Gatehouse Close.

Hi,
I worked there from 1974 to 1976. What a lovely place , lovely location right next to the ocean. Clive Tarry was the Managing Director then .
Really happy memories from that era . !!
I understand it has been demolished to a housing development called Gatehouse Close dont know when this happened such a shame !!!!
Does anyone have any further info ?
