Comments About Visits To Bexhill - Thread

Just come back from a holiday in Eastbourne but must say we enjoyed Bexhill more! It seems more compact and less sprawling than Eastbourne- anyhow, we're searching for the right place for us to move to by the coast- have looked at Hastings in the past but Bexhill just felt "right". We are 47 and 50 and this would be a big move for us. Can anyone tell me if the area is generally friendly and what the crime rate is like please? I'd want to get involved in the community including drama groups etc. Thanks for your help.

Really! In Bexhill?

With regard to earlier letters re. lack of entertainment and things to do in Bexhill, I was there recently for three weeks and one of the first things I saw was a headline outside a newsagents:-

"BEXHILL BANS LAP DANCING IN STRETCH LIMOS."

Maybe I have a peculiar sense of humour but I thought this was hilarious. Just let your mind wander. Imagine some of Bexhill's elderly gentlemen tottering out of their retirement homes with their sticks and wheel chairs and being lifted into a stretch limo for a ride three times around the block.

But, maybe, I am peculiar. I like really like Bexhill.
