My Lord?s Rock is a long, thin and shallow sandstone island which is only visible in low water tide. It is roughly opposite Middlesex Road, off De La Warr Parade. Other island known as Lane End Rock, also in the same vicinity, can be reached at the lowest water tide. It is near the Bathing Station caf?. You can see it on the map using http://www.old-maps.co.uk and type ?Bexhill?. Who named it I do not know but try the staff at Bexhill Reference Library who may assist you?

Does anyone know the origin of the the name "my Lord's rock". Bexhill museum & library cannot help. Could it have been named after Lord Sackville ?c8758
