Murdered Cat Left On Steps Of De La Warr Pavillion

posted by Debbie Langridge on 04 Dec 2011 at 3:04 pm

At 9am today a dead cat was found on the front steps of the De La Warr Pavillion. It's head had been cut cleanly off! The head was not found.

We must ask who was walking about in Bexhill last night or early this morning carrying a
weapon capable of inflictng such harm!

It has been suggested that some sick individual thought it fitting , the next show at the Pavillion is Dick Whittington and his Cat!

A person living opposite heard the sound of cat screams in the early hours but did not look out as cats can often be heard fighting in the area.

Local police have been informed...Let us hope that the vile individual responsible is caught!

The poor cat must have been someone's pet...They like many will feel that no punishment allowed in this country will fit such a crime!

My sincere and heartfelt sympathies and those of my family are with the poor little cats owners!ad98

A Nation Of Animal Lovers?

Hi Debbie

I've visited this site for the first time today and read your message in dismay.

We're supposedly a nation of animal lovers ~ the residents near the DLWP simply ignored the cats screams. I wonder how much time has been dedicated by Police to follow-up this incident. I have heard nothing about the culprits being caught who killed the female swan in Egerton Park last Summer.

I wonder if this cat murderer is still at large? It is well proven that abuse and murder of animals is the first step before someone seriously injures or murders another human being.

There needs to be more compassion in the world, judging by the fact no-one else has responded to your post.
