Offer To Bexhill High

posted by Paul on 16 Dec 2011 at 10:38 pm

We have asked Bexhill High if they will allow a local minister to speak to the pupils about the Christian bible position on homosexuality. This is in response to the school inviting an army member promoting homosexuality in the forces and last Thursday's showing of a video of a gay couple as 'normal' to year 11 pupils.

It seems reasonable for the pupils to hear many opinions on the subject of homosexuality rather than only one side being promoted, after all the rumour is we're a Christian country!

Normal?

I am a happily-married woman (no 'spring chicken') and am astounded that someone would still consider homosexuality 'abnormal'!
What's Mr Minter's opinion on gay clergy?

Bible?

Obviously a gay person, who ACTS on their feelings, can not be a Christian - so can not hold any church position. You can find a 'church' and a 'minister' who will do almost anything immoral but that doesn't make them Christian. Christians, Jesus says, love & OBEY.

It's sad many go to church, do services, read the bible, pray, hold church positions but won't OBEY God's commands. I advise starting with the 4 gospels.
