Link Road Underway

The felling of the beautiful trees along the old Sidley to West Station section of the disused railway has begun in earnest. An army of men in orange jackets carrying chainsaws started work yesterday. The sight and sound of the trees crashing down behind our house is so devastating.

Trees

with any project like this that trees have to be cut there should be a stipulation that 10 more are planted for every one cut down, to help lessen the impact of the new road on the local environment.I remember as a kid some very large trees being cut along the old railway line,as long as new ones are planted to replace them.
