The Ixion Cavalcade takes place this year on May 12th from 9.39 - 3.00, and celebrates the life of Bexhill's famous motor cycle journalist, historian and author who was also vicar of St Barnabas Church, Sea Road for many years, and there is a blue plaque outside the church commorating him.
The cavalcade will consist of 50+ motor cycles all pre 1939, and most from the pioneering days of motor cycling, you can see machines of over 100 years old being riden on the roads of Bexhill where once Canon Basil Davies (Ixion) rode his own machines.
