I would love to see a rail line back on that stretch but that will never happen even when they were building the original rail bed they had troubles with poor sub soil and subsidence. the new road will have the same problems and will be continually being dug up and resurfaced.that whole valley is quite unstable time will tell I guess but expect long delays on that road,both in construction and use.
