French Freedom Fighters

I'm researching some family history and know there were French Freedom Fighters bilitted in Turkey Road Bexhill during WWII.
Does anyone remember them? If anyone does and has any information I'd be most grateful.

Has anybody any information on Free French Forces billeted in the Sidley area of Bexhill, or anyone who might know where any records may be kept?
