Tennis Courts

Why is it that we now have to pay to use the tennis courts in Egerton park? is this not a public park? The teenagers keep off the street and keep fit by playing tennis on these courts but now when the summer has finally arrived and more kids will be playing do they have to pay? In my opinion it is an extremely high fee to come from paying nothing. Yes I understand that the money has to come from somewhere for the upkeep of the courts but surely with the obesity levels on the increase the least we could do for the town kids is to let them get their exercise free.

Another problem, if you play at 9am, is that sometimes the courts are locked, as staff don't arrive until 10am!

After 20 years, and as most activity has moved to other platforms such as Facebook Groups, we have made the decision to close the message board. We are no longer accepting new posts.
