I have an oldish watercolour with a label on the back that shows G.F.Hawkins 83 Barnhorn Road, Bexhill On Sea with a sale price of £50. The watercolour has a monogram OJ. I would guess the age of the watercolour to be done more than 40 years ago. Can any local resident shed any light on the name or monogram. Thank you

Hi
This is Geoffrey Forester Hawkins who was my father, living at no 83 Barnhorn Rd Little Common. He died of a heart attack at no. 83 in 1991 I think. He was a banker and amateur painter. If you are interested, if you give me an idea of the subject of the painting, I can probably tell you more about that. Hope you enjoy it. He would be tickled to see this messaging as none of that was around then! Best wishes Anne Hawkins
