Being Fostered In 1954

I would very much appreciate if anyone would know back in 1954 of a family who may of fostered a mixed race girl of about 6 months old together with her brother, a year older, who originally came from the London Borough of Lambeth. I am eager to trace anyone who may remember back then, as I am trying to trace my birth mother, but do have reason to believe I was fostered in Bexhill on sea at 6 months old.
