Hello everybody,
I am a family member of Sandown school and I have set up a Facebook page so that you can all chat and get to find each other.
If you are interested please look me up on Facebook and I will add you to that page.
Best wishes,
Lizzie

I was a boarder at this school in 1948 - aged 6! Can anyone tell me if the old building still exists? As far as I remember, it was located on "Sandown Road". I have memories of contributing to a present to the Queen (Princess Elizabeth then) on the occasion of the birth of her first son...

Hi , I was there from '58 - '65 more or less with a short interlude in Africa. I'm not sure who you are, Lizzie. Does anyone know of Deidre Fitzgerald's whereabouts ?

Greetings all.
I think, maybe, Sandown was on Sandown Way. Clearly, based on Google Earth, the houses along there were all built post war. Unfortunately there have been so many changes since I left in 1952 to go to Adelaide in South Australia where I have lived ever since. I am now 81.
Yours aye,
David Porteous

Any chance of seeing your booklet on Sandown. My brother John Leathes and I spent 3 happy years there from 1946 to 1949
