Is Facebook Killing Message Boards?

This past week I've popped into a couple of message boards and they are so quiet. It's like the supermarket verses local shops. Facebook is where everyone is and you can chat 24 hours a day, it's surprising who is awake during the night if you happen to not be able to sleep. It's sad because people put a lot of time and effort setting these boards up, not to mention the daily monitoring. I guess it's a sign of the times?

Message board discontinued
After 20 years, and as most activity has moved to other platforms such as Facebook Groups, we have made the decision to close the message board. We are no longer accepting new posts.
All existing threads have been preserved in a read-only archive. In accordance with our obligations under UK GDPR, we will be removing all email addresses and personal contact information from our records within the next 30 days.
