Strange Footprints

Myself and my friend have noticed diffraction coloured foot prints around the town of Bexhill. Can anyone tell us please what it's all about? There are RED ones at town hall square, BLUE ones at the railway bridge, YELLOW ones down the seafront, I presume there'd others but have not found them yet, so could someone please explain what it's all about.
