I was seven years old when I started school at Collington Rise Boarding School in 1938; until the war broke out in 1939. Is there anyone who can recall the school? I am currently writing a book and am anxious to recall as much as I can of those very happy days spent at the school. I now live in New Zealand and would love to hear from any person who can help, please. Sincerely, Harald Rothschild

Hello Harald how lovely to discover you’re writing a book about the school. I was wondering if you knew the name of the actual school and somewhere I can find information on it. I thank you for any news you can give me.
King regards
Sue.

Dear Harold,
I currently live at Collington House, the home of the former Collington Rise Prep School. I would love to hear from you so please drop me a line. Residents of the apartments here would be delighted to hear recollections from an 'old boy' of the school.

Hi Susan,
The name of the school was Collington Rise Preparatory School.
There is very limited information on the school available in the Bexhill Museum.
Please share any info you have on the school.
Regards,
Sean
