Whipper Woodruff

posted by Stephen Farnham on 10 Feb 2020 at 11:14 pm

I was a day boy at Harewood School, collingdale avenue, Bexhill. During 1949/1951.
I joined when a Mr Spooner was the headmaster. Then it was bought by the mother of the very reverend Noel Woodruff..
He was what would be called even in those bygone days a Paedophile who derived pleasure from corporal punishment.
As a rather dull pupil I suffered many unnecessary whippings with
various implements.
In the end his tenure was terminated by the exposure of his predilections.
Luckily I lived to to tell the story
If there is any one out there who remembers these events let me know.
