Hi, I live in Faygate close in Sidley, Bexhill and I would love to find out the history of the land where Faygate close is now built, does anyone know? Also if anyone knows the history of London road Bexhill?

Many thanks

London road was originally a river bed at the upper end near cambridge road etc, that is why the road is continually sinking, the river was diverted when the railway went in,as for faygate i can remember playing in thoes fields years ago,I believe they belonged to the manor just round the corner off of watermill lane.
